Lunch is served daily from Monday to Friday at 12.15pm.

  • We offer a door to centre service on our minibus to members who are unable to make their own way in to the centre for lunch.
  • Soup and/or sandwiches are available as a take-away service to diners. 
  • You can book in for lunch by phoning the office on 01273 844461
  • Tea & Coffee available to buy throughout the morning and just after lunch 
  • We now also offer takeaway hot drinks!
  • We have a five-star rating for our kitchen from the WSCC Environmental Health Team and it has been five stars ever since the rating system began a few years ago. The Inspector did say that “they would be happy to eat their meal off Lindsey’s kitchen floor.”!

Coffee shop

Our coffee shop is open from 9.00am until 12 noon, Monday to Saturday, serving freshly ground coffee, tea, hot chocolate and homemade cakes.

Our Shop

The charity shop is open Monday to Friday 9am – 3.30pm and Saturday 9am – 12 noon.  We welcome donations of good quality clothing, homeware, bric a brac and electrical items.  Why not come in one morning have a cup of coffee and have a browse in the shop?

Outings and Entertainment

We have regular tea and entertainment at the centre for members to enjoy, and outings to local places of interest which often involve a cream tea!

Armchair exercises

Chair based exercises are free for everyone to join in with at 11am most week days. 

Art and drawing groups

Come and be creative on Wednesday mornings with one of our art and craft groups.  These are un-structured sessions where everyone does their own thing in a social environment without an instructor.  Ask in the office for details.


  • Mahjong Monday from 1.30-3.30pm
  • Quiz Thursdays from 10.45-11.30am (free of charge)
  • Scrabble – alternate Thursdays 1.45-4pm
  • Canasta Friday from 1.30-3.30pm

Medical transport

This is a service for our members attending appointments at hospitals, health centres, dentists, chiropodists or opticians who are unable to provide their own transport.  We have a team of lovely volunteer drivers who kindly give their time to drive members to appointments.  We ask for as much notice as possible for booking but ideally at least 48 hours.  There is a list of charges available in the office and you can call the office on 01273 844461 to book a driver.


We have a couple of wheelchairs available to hire for a donation to the centre.  Please ask in the office for details.


We have a hairdressing salon on site with appointments available Monday to Friday.  For those in receipt of benefits we offer reduced prices on Monday and Wednesday. 


Chiropody appointments are available Monday to Friday with Paul, appointments cost £27 and can be booked in person or on the phone.

Hearing aid maintenance

Action for Deafness provide a free maintenance service for NHS patients on the 1st Tuesday of every month from 9.30am. It is a sit and wait service. Please ask in the office for details.
